Senior Software Engineer (FDE)
London | Financial Data Platforms
Join one of the fastest growing fintech scale-ups in London who are operating at the heart of the investment lifecycle, working with some of the biggest names in finance across the globe. This role suits a senior consultant or delivery professional looking to transition from management consulting or systems integration into deep product ownership — someone who can own complex client implementations end-to-end, combine consultative thinking with hands-on engineering, and build long-term partnerships.
What you'll be doing
- Own end-to-end delivery of client engagements; scope, sequence, and build solutions yourself
- Translate complex client business problems into platform structures; debug across the full stack
- Lead client steering committees and manage expectations with senior stakeholders
- Build and configure client data pipelines, integrations, queries, workflows, and config-driven deployments
- Mentor engineers and set quality standards; embed consultative best practices into delivery teams
- Identify expansion and upsell opportunities; feed client insights into Product roadmap

What we're looking for
- Senior experience consulting in Finance
- Strong technical foundation in C#, Python, or SQL with full-stack debugging capability
- Proven track record managing large client engagements; comfortable scoping, estimating, and delivering complex projects
- Domain knowledge in financial services, investment operations, or asset management
- Consultative mindset; strong stakeholder management and ability to hold conversations with C-suite clients
- Comfortable with configuration-driven platforms, data integration, ETL, and workflow orchestration
- Experience mentoring teams and embedding delivery discipline
