Job Description: Senior FP&A Manager - Group FP&A

Full Time - Hybrid Derby

Role Overview

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented and highly collaborative Senior FP&A Manager to join our Group team. This is a broad and hands-on role, responsible for delivering high-quality financial information and insight to the Rolls-Royce Group. It provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to performance management of the wider Group with exposure to the key topics impacting the CFO/ CEO.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting in-year performance management, budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning cycles for the Group
  • Providing clear financial analysis and insight to articulate financial performance and identify performance intervention opportunities
  • Producing written summaries/ presentations for reference in executive reports
  • Undertaking consolidation, modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Driving the quality and integrity of analysis, forecasts, plans and explanations provided - ensuring robust financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks are in place and consistently applied
  • Managing stakeholders by proactively defining and influencing requirements and deliverables
  • Constructively challenging stakeholders in identifying performance opportunities, improving insight and driving integrity of submissions
  • Supporting improvement projects across systems, processes and reporting in driving the above

Key Experiences and Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware finance leader who can think tactically whilst operating at a detailed level. You will likely demonstrate:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Financial Controller/ senior finance leadership position within a manufacturing, engineering or product-based environment.
  • Exposure to international operations or multi-entity structures would be advantageous
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience of group reporting structures, with exposure to Group statutory reporting
  • Hands-on knowledge of finance systems (Hyperion an advantage); Modelling/ advanced excel skills
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly
  • Evidence of partnering collaboratively with a ‘team mindset’
  • Organised, flexible and resilient. Delivery focussed, with ability to set requirements under ambiguity
  • Highly analytical with a curious mindset. Detail-oriented
  • A track record of improving financial controls, reports and processes within a growing business
