Senior FP&A Analyst
Senior FP&A Analyst (Finance) – Central Essex
Are you a qualified accountant with a strong FP&A background and a passion for e-commerce or retail?
We’re looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to join a fast-paced, commercially-minded finance function in Central Essex.
The Role
This is a pivotal position for an experienced finance professional who can combine technical rigour with genuine commercial influence. You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insight that shapes strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring accuracy and commercial relevance
- Provide in-depth analysis of trading performance, margin, and cost drivers to support business decisions
- Business partner with senior leaders across commercial, operations, and merchandising functions
- Develop and enhance financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions
- Deliver clear, insightful reporting packs for senior stakeholders and the board
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiencies within the finance function
- Support ad hoc strategic projects, including pricing, promotional, and profitability analysis

About You
Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 10+ years’ relevant experience, with a strong track record in FP&A
- Background in either e-commerce or retail—preferably both
- Excellent business partnering skills, with the gravitas and confidence to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to translate numbers into compelling narratives
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, commercially-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
