About the Role
A high-growth events and media business, backed by private equity, is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to join the finance leadership team during a transformative growth phase. This commercially focused interim opportunity involves close collaboration with the CFO and senior stakeholders to deliver insight-driven financial modelling, analysis, and strategic recommendations—actively shaping decisions across an international business.
You’ll be viewed as a trusted business partner, using data, financial intelligence, and commercial acumen to enhance decision-making and drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting Leadership
- Lead key areas of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Financial Modelling & Decision Support
- Construct robust financial models to inform strategic and commercial decisions.
- Board Reporting & Strategic Insights
- Develop insightful board reports with clear commentary and actionable recommendations.
- Commercial Business Partnering
- Work directly with senior leaders to assess performance, identify opportunities, and drive financial improvements.
- Cross-Market Financial Analysis
- Analyse revenue, profitability, and key business drivers across multiple markets and geographies.
- Variance & Trend Analysis
- Investigate financial trends and variances, translating data into meaningful commercial insights.
- Strategic Project Support
- Collaborate with the CFO and executive team on high-impact strategic and operational initiatives.
- Process & Performance Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve processes, and enhance financial performance.
- BI & Reporting Development
- Work with BI and Commercial Operations to design Power BI dashboards and advanced reporting.

Essential Requirements
- Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent certification).
- FP&A Experience: 2+ years of FP&A experience in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment (fast-moving consumer goods, media, or events sectors preferred but not essential).
- Financial Modelling: Advanced Excel, financial modelling skills, and proficiency with modelling techniques (DCFs, forecasting, sensitivity analysis).
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness, ability to influence key decision-makers, and drive strategy execution.
- Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional ability to distil complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences.
- Proactive Mindset: A curious, analytically minded attitude with a focus on challenging the status quo and adding measurable value.
