Senior FP&A Analyst / Finance Business Partner
About the Role
We're looking for a commercially minded Senior FP&A Analyst to join a growing organisation operating across a multi-site environment. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with senior operational leaders, providing high-quality financial planning, analysis and reporting that supports strategic decision-making and drives business performance.
Working as a trusted Finance Business Partner, you'll combine strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and support stakeholders across the business. You'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and continuous improvement, helping to deliver meaningful insights that support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance
- Lead the monthly financial reporting process for operational divisions, delivering timely, accurate and insightful analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances, trends and commercial risks.
- Partner with operational leaders to understand business performance, providing challenge, support and financial guidance.
- Produce meaningful KPI reporting and scorecards that enable informed commercial decision-making.
- Present financial information in a clear and engaging way for senior leadership audiences.
- Manage and resolve month-end financial queries, ensuring stakeholders receive prompt, accurate responses.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, analysis and internal processes.
- Work closely with Business Intelligence and Finance colleagues to enhance reporting through automation and improved systems.

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process for your business areas, ensuring robust financial planning and adherence to agreed timelines.
- Support wider budgeting and forecasting activities across multiple business functions.
- Maintain and develop financial models to ensure consistency and accuracy across budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting.
- Support ongoing improvements to budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools, including system-driven automation.
Business Partnering
- Build trusted relationships with senior operational leaders and departmental stakeholders.
- Act as the primary finance contact for your business areas, providing expert financial advice and support.
- Deliver regular financial reports, dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Improve financial understanding across operational teams through coaching, guidance and effective communication.
- Promote a collaborative, proactive and commercially focused culture within the Finance team.
About You
You'll be a confident Finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and turning financial data into meaningful commercial insight.
You'll have:
- A professional accounting qualification (or be actively studying towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline, or an AAT qualification.
- Previous experience within Management Accounting, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex data manipulation, modelling and financial analysis.
- The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a constructive way.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information simply.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
- Experience producing reports and presentations for senior management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Power BI or ERP platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
