About the Role
Our client is a leading insurance organisation with a strong reputation for innovation, commercial excellence, and data-driven decision making. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Senior FP&A Analyst to join their Finance team to support strategic planning, forecasting, and business performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, improving planning processes, and leveraging technology to enhance financial decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will play a key role in delivering financial insight, supporting strategic planning, and driving improvements across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Working closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operational stakeholders, you will help provide meaningful analysis while contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation's planning capabilities and finance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple business areas.
- Produce insightful management reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level presentations.
- Build robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and business cases.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight into financial performance.
- Deliver scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyse business performance, profitability, revenue, and operational KPIs.
- Work closely with Finance Systems and Technology teams to optimise planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Support the continued development and utilisation of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools to improve planning accuracy, automation, and reporting capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience within Financial Planning & Analysis, ideally within the Insurance or wider Financial Services sector.
- Strong experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and management reporting activities.
- Experience working with an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform such as Oracle EPM, Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, Pigment, Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning), or CCH Tagetik.
- A solid understanding of how EPM solutions support budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, driver-based planning, and management reporting.
- The ability to work alongside Finance Systems, Technology, or Transformation teams to enhance planning processes and reporting capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insight.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering senior business leaders.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
