The role
This role has arisen as maternity leave cover and will join a high-performing FP&A team comprising an FP&A Analyst, FP&A Manager and Head of Finance.

We’re looking for a proactive and driven individual who is keen to build their experience in FP&A. You will play a key role in supporting high-impact business decisions through clear, insightful financial analysis, contributing to a finance function that is striving to be best-in-class.
Reporting to the FP&A Senior Manager, you will work closely with both revenue-generating teams and core business support functions. You will take ownership of key elements of the budget and forecast cycles, support the production of management information, and provide valuable insight to help the business achieve its strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with Heads of Department to develop a strong understanding of departmental KPIs and the key drivers of performance variances
- Supporting Heads of Department on financial matters, ensuring informed decision-making and delivery against financial commitments
- Ownership of the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts for designated departments, ensuring robust and accurate financial planning
- Preparation and timely distribution of monthly financial reports to the CFO and Senior Leadership, highlighting performance, risks and opportunities
- Analysis of monthly management information, providing clear and actionable insights
- Supporting the ongoing development of reporting (including Tableau and Excel), driving continuous improvement in data and analysis
- Undertaking ad hoc project work, providing additional financial insight to Heads of Department, Senior Leadership and the wider Azets Group

Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with 2+years PQE, a good understanding of all primary financial statements and with experience of working in an FP&A function
- Ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data with excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Excellent communication skills and are confident in talking to people across the business at different levels of seniority
- Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships and initiative to drive things forward
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with use of Planning Analytics / Tableau an advantage
- Experience of a medium/large standalone business or a similar role in a division of a larger organisation
- Experience in managing and team / line management
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Be a strong team player with a sense of ownership and initiative to drive things forward.
- Knowledge of the professional services industry (preferred but not essential)
