At OQC, we aren't just theorising about the future; we're building it. Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we've successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality.

The most exciting thing is that we're just getting started and we've recently closed our £260 million Series C funding round - the largest fundraise ever completed by a quantum computing company in Europe.

The Purpose

As a Senior FP&A Partner, you will play a critical role in shaping financial decision-making across a rapidly scaling, capital-intensive business. Partnering closely with senior leaders, you'll translate complex financial performance into clear commercial insights, enabling responsible investment, strategic growth, and operational excellence.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you'll own key planning, forecasting, and performance analysis activities across the Group. Acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders across technical and commercial teams, you'll help drive financial visibility, challenge assumptions, and support decisions that accelerate OQC's growth.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities, ensuring financial plans are accurate, aligned, and delivered on time
  • Own and continuously improve core FP&A models, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, long-range plans, and cash runway analysis
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis, identifying key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across the business
  • Translate financial and operational data into compelling business narratives that support strategic decision-making
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve financial visibility, challenge assumptions, and support effective capital deployment
  • Produce high-quality reporting, presentations, and analysis for the CFO and senior leadership team
  • Support business growth through financial modelling, operational planning, investment analysis, international expansion activities, and continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
