Purpose
The Senior FP&A Reporting & Planning Manager plays a critical role within the FP&A team, delivering end-to-end accountability for UK & Ireland (UK&I) financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting. Your mission is to ensure that leadership and the Group receive high-quality, timely, and insight-driven outputs that influence critical business decisions.
In this leadership position, you combine strong analytical precision with governed financial clarity; your role includes:
- Aligning actuals, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans into a single, coherent financial view of performance across the UK & ROI.
- Partnering closely with the Head of FP&A & CFO to drive corporate-wide decision-making through rigorous analytics, scenario modeling, and financial storytelling.
- Focusing on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement—to build plans and reports that are trustworthy, transparent, and aligned with business operations.

1. Financial Planning & Budget Leadership
- Own and coordinate the UK&I Strategic Financial Plan over a rolling 3–5 year horizon, ensuring alignment with strategic financial priorities.
- Define a driver-based budget, establish clear ownership across stakeholders, and enforce standards for assumptions, timelines, and comparability.
- Integrate financial planning with performance metrics, strategic value drivers, and operational realities.
- Drive process efficiencies through continual simplification, automation, and refinement of planning tools.
2. Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Insight

Lead the monthly in-year forecast and quarterly Group forecast, refining processes and pushing assumptions toward global readiness.

Build and maintain credible driver-based P&L and cash flow forecasts—including contingency scenarios—aligning them closely with business needs.

Extract key learnings from monthly variations, producing confident narratives that link data to strategic outcomes.

Partner with the Head of FP&A on the development and refinement of management reporting, ensuring reporting is:
- Relevant to senior leadership’s evolving priorities
- Transparent (with clear links between actuals, forecasts, and plans)
- Supported by a central data hub when collaborating with the FP&A Data Manager

Actively question and improve existing methods and methodologies through improved systems and automation.
3. Governance, Integration & Financial Storytelling
- Consolidate and document assumptions, risks, and judgments undergirding plans and forecasts, maintaining accountability for clear explanations during discussions.

- Simplify complex narratives—turning financial concepts into compelling insights for non-financial executives and Group scrutiny.
4. Leadership & Business Partnering
- Lead and develop the FP&A Data Manager, creating a central hub for analytical excellence.
- Guide the outsourced FP&A consultant (Genpact) to ensure high standards.
- Collaborate across divisions, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and R&D, to foster integrated financial planning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Head of FP&A and CFO, delivering ad-hoc analyses, scenario models, and decision aids.
- Support transformational initiatives as a senior FP&A champion.

- Finance Transformation
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI: Advanced master level expertise.
- FMCG or commercial environment: Experience consolidating plans across diverse stakeholders and data sets.
- Fortified communication skills: Translate finance complexities into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage stress, set standards, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- FMCG experience with similar prominent brands
- Exposure to SAP or OneStream will be of significant value
