Location: Hammersmith, W6 (Central London)

Contract: Full-time:

  • 60 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

Salary: £14.47 per hour (aligned with #Living Wage Foundation standards)


About the Role

Working in a flagship building in central Hammersmith, you’ll playing a critical role in delivering a exceptional customer experience for all visitors and staff, while also meeting the highest security standards. This Senior Front of House Security Officer position blends professional security with Concierge excellence, placing a strong emphasis on customer service and operational leadership.

You’ll work alongside leading industry partners, including UniTrust, to:

  • Drive a single-team approach between your Security team, Reception and all frontline staff.

Core Responsibilities

Front of House & Customer Experience

  • Deliver a 5-star Front of House, Concierge, and Security service, ensuring every user—whether visitor, tenant, or client—receives a professional, secure and welcoming experience.
  • Own and elevate all aspects of the front desk and concierge operation, maintaining:
    • Smart appearance and presentation
    • Advanced customer service standards.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across:
    • Third-party reception teams (supporting a ‘One Team’ mindset)
    • Client outreach (acting as a professional and trusted adviser for building tenants, guests, and service partners).
  • Provide concise and accurate support on:
    • Building features, amenities and transport.
  • Resolve issues promptly, escalating without unnecessary delay.
  • Facilitate secure visitor, delivery, and operational access in compliance with UK security standards.

Security Operations

  • Ensure the safety, security, and tranquillity of all who enter the building, including:
    • 24/7 CCTV & access control system management, following strict company protocols.
  • Act swiftly in an emergency—responding to bespoke fire/welfare protocols, security threats or operational concerns, with clear escalation routes.
  • Remain vigilant and proactive in:
    • Conducting regular patrols, contractor ID checks and ID management risk assessments.
    • Undertaking investigations at balancing with professional discretion.
  • Maintain spotless records—myth-proven incident reports, visitor logs, and site compliance metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practice, law, and local guidelines to mitigate risks.

Leadership & Operational Support

  • Assist the Security Manager in daily operational excellence, ensuring:
    • Compliance with contract, legal (Gold Standard SIA registration) and in-house SOPs and audit checks.
    • Service continuity in the security manager’s absence (temporary absenteeism management).
  • Own delivery from inception to completion, including:
    • Tasks
    • Resolving operational issues within custom, timely deadlines.
  • Mentor and support colleagues through:
    • Stand Embedding (new procedure comprehension)
    • Upskill Initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with key onsite teams (cleaning, keyhold, reception and facilities) to achieve overall customer-centred service improvement.
  • Drive performance by identifying inefficiencies and advocating for transparent process changes that benefit both the client and end-user journey.

  • Track and give tangible value to clients by:

Responsibilities

Security Operations

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security measures for people, property, and receptors.
  • Utilise CCTV, access control, and other security systems according to established procedures and legal standards.
  • Swiftly address media incidents, alarms, and security threats by:
    • Implementing immediate protocols
    • Wisely escalating where necessary
  • Conduct routine patrols, ID checks, contractor activations, and security investigations with clear evidence.
  • Maintain up-to-date reports, records, and incident documentation covering all operational aspects.

Leadership & Operational Support

  • Facilitate the Security Manager in:
    • Day-to-day contract administration
    • Reporting, compliance, auditing
  • Provide debt service and operational decisions, ensuring continuity in the manager’s absence.

  • Mentor and help develop junior team members to promote professionalism, opportunity growth, and continuous improvement.

  • Initiate & implement further steps for operational guarantees, customer experience, and service delivery improvements.

  • Document and verify social value contributions by security teams, such as community outreach and service extras delivered per contract.
  • Propose proactive initiatives demonstrating:
