Senior Frontend Developer
SENIOR FRONT-END ENGINEER
Salary up to £70,000 Hybrid working – 2 days per week in Liverpool city centre Opportunity to help shape a brand-new consumer platform from the ground up Work within a senior, AI-first engineering environment

ABOUT THE CLIENT We're supporting an established, technology-driven organisation that is investing heavily in the future of its engineering capability. Following continued growth and a significant platform transformation programme, they are looking to appoint a Senior Front-End Engineer to play a key role in shaping the user experience and front-end architecture of a brand-new platform.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, working within a highly experienced team that values innovation, collaboration and modern software engineering practices.
THE ROLE: This is a highly influential front-end engineering role where you'll help shape the future of a modern, large-scale digital platform whilst remaining hands-on with development.

You'll lead the design and implementation of key areas of the front-end application, building scalable component patterns, reusable UI foundations and high-performance user journeys. Working extensively with Next.js, React and TypeScript, you'll have significant influence over how the platform is built and maintained.
Working closely with product, design and engineering stakeholders, you'll help establish front-end standards, drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices and contribute to wider architectural discussions across the technology function.
This role offers genuine autonomy, giving you the opportunity to influence engineering processes, technical decisions and the long-term direction of a business-critical platform.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS Strong commercial experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript Proven track record building high-quality consumer-facing web applications Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and modern front-end architecture Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP Experience working closely with product and design teams Comfortable owning technical decisions and mentoring other engineers Passion for modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
