Senior Frontend Developer
Role: Senior Frontend Developer Rate: £500 Inside IR35 Location: Remote Contract: 12 months BPPS required
About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join the team to accelerate the delivery of user-facing digital services.
As the Senior Frontend Developer, you will be a key technical hands-on contributor, playing a vital role in the development, implementation, and quality assurance of accessible, robust, and scalable interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement modern frontend components and architectures utilising JavaScript (ReactJS, Node.js) and related technical standards.
- Support the presentation and justification of frontend designs, templating strategies, and technical decisions to governance forums.
- Communicate complex technical UI/UX decisions clearly to engineering peers and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Assure the quality of frontend systems, ensuring robust CI/CD pipeline integration and compliance with accessibility guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-weight developers within the delivery team.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record as a Senior Frontend Developer, operating within a public sector or government environment.
- Deep experience in core frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js.
- Strong proficiency with styling and templating frameworks, specifically SASS, LESS, Bootstrap, Nunjucks, and Freemarker.
- Solid CI/CD capability with hands-on experience maintaining technical quality via Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrable ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack and backend peers.

- Practical knowledge or experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
