We are building AI-powered tools for understanding global energy markets by combining LLM agents, real-time market data, and forecasting models—creating an AI Analyst that can reason about complex energy systems.
Our frontend is where massive datasets, predictive models, and AI systems become actionable. We design fast, data-heavy interfaces enabling users to explore energy markets, interrogate datasets, and interact with forecasting models in real time.
We are AI-native, powered by a modern tech stack:
- TypeScript
- React
- Next.js
- A monorepo architecture supporting rapid feature development and AI-assisted workflows.
The Role
We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to lead architectural evolution of our UI, partner with a team to develop a frontend structure designed for rapid, AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities
- Architectural Strategy: Guide the technical direction of our frontend monorepo to ensure long-term scalability.
- Component System Architecture: Help design and build an internal UI library (MUI-based).
- Performance Engineering: Improve and optimise high-performance, low-latency user interfaces.
Essential Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of professional Frontend Development experience.
- Deep proficiency in:
- TypeScript, React and modern JS, with Next.js expertise.
- Material UI (MUI) (or similar library experience).
- Testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Skills in AI-assisted development.
- Strong UI/UX sensibilities—capable of delivering polished, aesthetic interfaces while bridging design and engineering.
- Knowledge of Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with monorepo tools (e.g. Turborepo, Yarn Workspaces).

- Python experience.
- Industry or project experience in the energy sector.
- Prior experience in start-ups or scale-ups.
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: £100,000 - £120,000
- Equity share available

- Salary sacrifice pension with 3% employer contribution
- 25 days annual leave (plus 5 flexible days to be taken on a Monday or Friday)

- Hybrid Work Policy:
- Office-based during the week ( exclude weekends )
- Mandatory in-office days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
