About the Company:
Our client is a leading global financial services firm investing heavily in the next generation of artificial intelligence technology. They are building a dedicated Generative AI engineering team focused on creating innovative products that transform how financial professionals access information, analyse data, and make decisions.
The team is developing advanced AI-powered platforms that combine large-scale data, machine learning, and modern software engineering to deliver intelligent solutions across the organisation. Working with some of the world’s most valuable financial data sets, they are building products that bring the latest advances in GenAI into real-world financial workflows.
This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed engineering group with the backing, scale, and resources of an established financial institution while operating with the mindset and agility of a start-up. The team is focused on rapid experimentation, product ownership, and delivering impactful technology used by thousands of users across the business.
The Role:
They are looking for a talented React Software Engineer to join their new GenAI-focused product engineering team and help build the next generation of AI-driven financial applications. You will play a key role in designing and developing highly interactive, data-rich user interfaces that enable users to leverage advanced AI capabilities across complex financial workflows. Working closely with backend engineers, data scientists, product managers, and financial domain experts, you will build modern front-end experiences that combine real-time data, intelligent automation, and intuitive user interactions.

This role will involve solving challenging front-end engineering problems including high-performance data visualisation, responsive interfaces over large datasets, real-time application experiences, and creating elegant user journeys around emerging AI technologies. The team embraces modern engineering practices including component-driven development, automated testing, strong design principles, and continuous improvement. Engineers are encouraged to take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute to product decisions as well as technical direction.
Essential Skills:
Strong commercial experience building modern web applications using React Excellent knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern front-end development practices Experience building scalable, maintainable front-end architectures Strong understanding of UI engineering principles, component design, and performance optimisation Experience working with APIs, data-driven applications, and complex user interfaces A passion for building polished, intuitive user experiences Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a product-focused environment

Nice to Have:
Experience building end-to-end products from initial concept through to production delivery Experience with high-throughput data visualisation technologies and rendering large datasets efficiently Experience building real-time dashboards, analytics platforms, or interactive financial/data-heavy applications Exposure to technologies such as WebGL, D3.js, Three.js, Canvas, or other advanced visualisation frameworks Experience working with AI-powered applications, LLM interfaces, or GenAI products Experience working in financial services, fintech, trading, or other data-intensive environments Strong product mindset with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into exceptional technical solutions
