Senior Frontend Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer based in United Kingdom.
Join a high-performing engineering team building next-generation financial applications powered by modern web technologies and blockchain infrastructure. In this role, you'll take ownership of crafting intuitive, secure, and high-performance user experiences that support mission-critical financial products. Working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you'll help shape features from concept to production while influencing frontend architecture and engineering standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, values clean code and exceptional user experiences, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You'll have the autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions while contributing to products used by organizations around the world.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance frontend applications using modern web technologies.
- Lead frontend architecture decisions and contribute to the evolution of scalable design systems and reusable UI components.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver new features from ideation through production.
- Build clean, modular, well-tested, and maintainable code that supports long-term scalability and reliability.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, WebSocket services, and backend systems while ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform code reviews, uphold engineering best practices, and mentor fellow engineers to promote technical excellence.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve the user experience.
- Contribute to frontend security, browser compatibility, and modern development workflows across the engineering organization.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building high-quality frontend web applications.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience with Next.js, Server Components, state management solutions such as Jōtai (or similar), Storybook, Jest, and modern CSS solutions.
- Solid understanding of browser APIs, web performance optimization, debugging, and systems design.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, WebSocket APIs, and backend services; familiarity with gRPC is a plus.
- Knowledge of web security principles, including CSP, CORS, JWT authentication, and browser security best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate across distributed teams, and lead technical initiatives.
- Experience with Chrome Extension APIs, Web Workers, or blockchain technologies such as Solana is advantageous, as is familiarity with Figma and user-centered design principles.
