Senior Frontend Engineer
Front End Engineer (React) — Greenfield AI-Enabled Platforms | Global Financial Services | Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days)
React, micro-frontends, real-time UIs, and LLM-powered experiences — greenfield builds, not maintenance work
A global financial services organisation is investing heavily in its Manchester engineering hub, building a portfolio of next-generation customer and colleague experience platforms. Legacy systems are being retired and replaced with modern, real-time, intelligent interfaces at serious scale — millions of customers, thousands of internal users — with AI-driven and agentic experiences designed in from day one.
We’re looking for Front End Engineers to join at the early stages and help shape both the products and the engineering standards behind them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do
- Build and scale modern React applications using micro-frontend architecture
- Create real-time, responsive user experiences using technologies like WebSockets
- Own UI implementation end-to-end — component design, styling, and design-system thinking using modern UI libraries
- Help integrate LLM-powered interactions and define what agentic workflows look like in a regulated environment
- Work in close collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams that actually ship
What We’re Looking For
- Strong React and modern front-end fundamentals
- Experience working in larger organisations
- Knowledge of micro-frontends or other scalable UI architectures
- Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets or similar) in production
