Senior Frontend Engineer - Editor and Graphics
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer - Editor and Graphics based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to build advanced creative technology used by global brands and high-impact content teams.

Accountabilities
In this role, you will design, develop, and improve advanced frontend experiences while contributing to the evolution of a powerful creative editing platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and extending canvas-based creative tools using modern frontend technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, PixiJS, and WebGL.
- Transforming design concepts into polished, high-performance user experiences with strong attention to visual details and usability.
- Solving complex frontend challenges involving undo/redo systems, layer management, animations, transitions, responsive canvas interactions, and performance optimization.
- Developing collaboration features including co-editing, commenting, and approval workflows that support distributed creative teams.
- Contributing to frontend architecture decisions and improving the scalability and maintainability of the editor platform.
- Partnering closely with designers, engineers, and specialists in video rendering and media processing to deliver innovative solutions.
- Taking ownership of features from concept through production, ensuring high-quality implementation and measurable user impact.
- Using AI-powered tools effectively to accelerate development while maintaining responsibility for code quality and outcomes.
- Continuously improving the product experience through experimentation, technical problem-solving, and user-focused development.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced frontend engineer with a strong background in building complex web applications, interactive interfaces, and performance-sensitive products. Key qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience developing complex frontend applications.
- Strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript, with the ability to architect scalable components and frontend systems.
- Solid understanding of reactive programming patterns and experience with RxJS.
- Experience building interactive graphics applications using technologies such as Canvas, PixiJS, WebGL, or similar frameworks.
- Previous experience working on creative software, video editors, design tools, or other visual applications is highly valued.
- Proven ability to identify and solve frontend performance challenges to improve user experience.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices, architecture, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with technologies such as NgRx and Node.js is a plus.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage outcomes independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working in a remote, international environment with distributed teams.

- United States: USD $170K-$200K base salary.
