We are looking for someone with technical experience to drive food safety and quality compliance. Our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team is recruiting and we are looking for an experienced and highly driven Food Safety professional to join our international team as a Senior FSQA Manager. You will work within a team based across Europe to drive food safety and quality compliance with our convenience suppliers, and work collaboratively with our procurement, private label, supply chain and distribution centre teams. The role will onboard exciting new private label products, share best practice, create standardised ways of working, drive improvement in food safety & quality and lead on various strategic projects to ensure we delight our customers. What will you be doing? Manage and coordinate the onboarding of new suppliers and private label products ensuring compliance to food safety, legal and quality standards. Perform on-site supplier visits and audits to manage their approval and drive strategic improvements in quality to decrease complaints and increase customer satisfaction. Using your expertise, knowledge from industry and the supply base to develop best practice ways of working with your suppliers and internally. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Investigate quality and food safety issues with suppliers to ensure customer availability and quality is not compromised with thorough root cause analysis and corrective action. Ownership of your category area to achieve key performance indicators relating to out of specification deliveries, customer complaints, and compliance metrics. Who you are: 4 years + experience of a quality/food safety management role in the food industry Experience with chilled ready to eat foods is highly desirable Experience of auditing food manufacturers required knowledge and understanding of EU food labelling regulations is required Experience with product packaging artwork approval in alignment to EU regulations is desirable Additional food quality & safety qualifications highly desirable (e.g. HACCP, internal auditing) Excellent English skills required Willingness to travel (some overseas travel may be required) and spend 50% of your time at suppliers, distribution centres and the office where you will be based. Ability to make risk based decisions that ensure we meet the high food safety and quality standards our customers expect whilst onboarding innovative products that also delight our customers. Strong in communication and negotiation skills. Adept at pragmatic approaches to solving time sensitive issues Willing and practiced in decision making; stays calm even in challenging situations Energised working in a fast paced environment; ability to multitask with different and competing workstreams Willing to work with suppliers and teams based across Hello Fresh markets in the UK, DACH, France, Nordics, Ireland and Benelux. Intermediate/Advanced Google Suite Skills (G-sheets/MS Excel, G-doc/Word, and G-slides/PowerPoint) skills
