Role Overview: Full Stack Software Engineer
Within PTC, you’ll architect, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions powering our industry-leading platforms. Your work will:
- Drive innovation throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions
- Deliver high-impact solutions that transform how industries operate
Key Responsibilities
Key tasks include but aren’t limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions for PTC’s digital transformation platforms.
- Envision, prototype, and implement scalable SaaS applications with robust tenant isolation.
- Optimize REST APIs—specifically handling versioning, stability, and idempotency.
- Partner with teams to prioritise technical debt and leverage micronesian architectures.
- Phone developer experience through performance tuning, error handling, and Yeah’ integration.
- Contribute to automated testing strategy (unit, integration, and end-to-ch tests).
- Mentor peers and collaborate to remove velocity barriers.

Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- In-depth multi-tenant SaaS development, including:
- Tenant isolation & quota system management.
- Feature flag strategies.
- TypeScript & JavaScript proficiency essential.
- Node.js expertise (preferably NestJS or ExpressJS).
- Frontend frameworks: Angular (standalone components) or React with:
- Core UI pattern: RxJS, change detection, routing**, and forms.
- Optimisation techniques: lazy loading/virtual scrolling.
- Backend & API design: RESTful services with versioning, stability guarantees, and idempotency.
- ORMs experience (e.g., TypeORM/Prisma); migrations and schema evolution.
- Strong PostgreSQL or MySQL/Oracle skills, including:
- Schema & query optimisation.
- Transaction pattern design.
- Redis caching:
- Hands-on use of TTL (time-to-live) features.
- Advanced invalidation strategies.
- Messaging & streaming systems:
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or cloud events/queues.
- Database testing coverage: transactional & load constraints.
- Automation & Quality assurance:
- Unit/integration testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Cypress).
- End-to-end (E2E) test suites (commonly Cypress/Selenium).
- Version control tools (Git), supporting:
- High-quality code reviews.
- GitLab/GitHub branching workflows.
- Debugging and analytical problem-solving across:
- Backend systems.
- Frontend UIs.
- Strong communication & teamwork skills, collaborating across:
- Engineering.
- Product.
