Senior Full-Stack Engineer (3D) – AI-Native Applications

Position Overview
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (3D), you will be a lead contributor to building the next generation of AI-native applications. You’ll drive innovation at the junction of robust backend orchestration and intuitive frontend design, focusing on "agentic" workflows and systems. These systems will empower AI to proactively execute tasks, manage state, and interact with external tools—ultimately solving complex user problems.
Your role spans the entire tech stack, from leveraging cutting-edge frameworks for frontend, data storage, runtime, and API design to collaborating with UX Research teams to shape next-gen interaction techniques.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Engineering
- Lead development of full-stack features, ranging from database schema design to high-fidelity UI implementation, ensuring seamless integration across layers.
Agentic Workflow Orchestration
- Design and implement backend logic for AI agents to interact autonomously with APIs, databases, and long-running processes. Create low-friction workflows that continuously adjust to user or environmental changes.
Agentic UX Design
- Build "Human-in-the-Loop" interfaces that allow users to monitor, steer, and collaborate with AI agents in real-time. Push the boundaries of generative UX, including streaming UI updates, proactive notifications, and contextual feedback.
Infrastructure & Security
- Architect secure, scalable, and performant backend systems adhering to best practices and design patterns. Prioritise resilience to support high-concurrency AI operations while maintaining strict security controls.
State Management
- Oversee complex, async application states where updates may originate from users, AI agents, or background processes concurrently. Ensure data consistency and integrity under unpredictable conditions.
Performance Optimization
- Develop efficient applications and services optimised for both perceived and actual end-user experience. Tune request-response flows, minimising latency in LLM streaming and database queries, to ensure snappy interactions.

Technical Quality & Maintenance
- Enforce high code quality and maintain architectural consistency with rigorous static type safety, unit, and integration testing. Attend to finer details such as leaderboard optimisation for underperforming features.
Qualifications
Minimum
- 5–8 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Frontend Skillset: Advanced proficiency in React with TypeScript, modern CSS/HTML, and the ability to design highly interactive, data-rich applications.
- Backend Skillset: Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL) and object storage solutions (e.g., S3). Familiarity with ORMs or direct SQL querying.
- API Design: Proven ability to design and consume RESTful or GraphQL APIs, prioritising reliability and security.
- LLM & Agentic Development: Expert-level familiarity with modern agentic development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf) to accelerate build cycles.
- System Architecture: Solid understanding of distributed systems, serverless architectures, and relational databases; adept at modelling data using tables and relationships.
- Deployment & CI/CD: Experienced with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS ALBs, ECS, EC2) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to bridge the gap between technical LLM capabilities and user-facing product features, translating complex ideas into intuitive UX flows.
Preferred
- Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or PydanticAI to engineer custom agentic automation logic.
- LLM UX Patterns: Deep familiarity with ReAct pattern, streaming live updates, generative UI components, and proactive notification triggers to optimise human-AI handoffs.
- Observability Tools: Experience with AI agent monitoring platforms (e.g., LangSmith, Braintrust, Helicone) for cost and reliability tracking.
- Tool Calling & SaaS Integration: Proven track record of integrating LLM Tool/Functions to interact with third-party APIs or internal databases, enabling autonomous data retrieval and manipulation.
- Durable Runtimes: Expertise with durable runtime engines (e.g., Temporal, Chrome’s long Tasks) to handle offloadable, async, long-running processes. Familiarity with PostgreSQL capabilities is a plus.
- Supabase: Experience with Supabase, including features like Row Level Security (RLS) and migrations.
- Vector Search: Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., pgvector) and how they apply to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows.
- Real-TimeEngineering: Comprehensive grasp of WebSockets or Supabase Realtime to handle seamless bidirectional communication for high-latency tasks.
