Senior Full Stack Engineer (PHP/Laravel)
Senior PHP/Laravel Engineer (Agentic & Production Focus)
You're a strong PHP/Laravel engineer who uses agentic tooling seriously—treating it as a way to move faster and deliver better work without needing every problem defined for you. You’re not here to own the roadmap, but you want to tackle meaningful engineering challenges.
The Role
You’ll be embedded in the product team of one of the UK’s leading procurement platforms for construction projects. This platform connects organisations managing construction projects with the suppliers delivering them—high-traffic, mission-critical work that demands robust and scalable engineering.
The stack is built on PHP/Laravel, and this is not maintenance work. You’ll be on the front lines of feature delivery, scale challenges, and active engineering on a system used by thousands.
About the Platform
This isn’t just another Laravel setup—it’s a live, evolving product where PHP/Laravel is the core foundation. Every layer of the stack offers challenges and opportunities to ship real-world features at real scale, in a production environment.
*What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Full Stack Leadership: Work at Senior Full Stack level in a commercial, production PHP/Laravel environment.
- Agentic Engineering: Use agentic tools daily—not as ad-hoc shortcuts, but as core enablers of faster, higher-quality delivery.
- Cloud-Native Solutions: Leverage AWS to build scalable, cloud-native APIs.
- Front-End Capability: Collaborate with React.js or Laravel Nova when needed.
- Feature Ownership: Ship real features—no petty maintenance; the work demands sophisticated engineering solutions.
- System Design: Contribute to architecture decisions—not just execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
