Join a high-performing engineering team building the next generation of workflow automation platforms within a global investment banking environment.
This team is focused on transforming complex, manual post-trade processes into intelligent, automated workflows. By combining modern software engineering, workflow orchestration, and AI-powered document matching, they're delivering solutions that reduce operational risk, improve efficiency, and have a direct impact on the business.
You'll become part of a collaborative team of experienced engineers working closely with business stakeholders to solve real-world problems. This is an opportunity to build software that matters, influence technical direction, and work with modern technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities
This isn't a traditional development role where requirements arrive fully documented.
Instead, you'll work directly with traders, operations teams, and subject matter experts to understand business processes, investigate existing systems, and design practical technical solutions. Success comes from curiosity, communication, and engineering judgment just as much as coding ability.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring.
- Build scalable REST APIs and distributed microservices.
- Develop internal web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Contribute to Node.js services responsible for asynchronous processing and business logic.
- Build workflow-driven applications using Camunda (experience not required).
- Integrate multiple internal platforms through REST and HTTP APIs.
- Deploy and support applications running on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and validate solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design.
- Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-tested software following modern engineering best practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
