Senior Fullstack Engineer, Vendor Monitoring Data at Vanta

Our Vendor Monitoring Data team specialises in gathering external data and conducting risk analysis as part of Vanta’s Vendor Risk Management (VRM) product. This work delivers actionable insights to help customers effectively mitigate third-party risks.
The Role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll spearhead complex initiatives across our technical stack while mentoring a talented engineering team. This exciting role targets a unique focus area—external attack surface scanning—allowing you to tackle innovative technical challenges. Your contributions will drive direct impact for Vanta, enabling customers to continuously and comprehensively monitor risks across their supply chain.

Responsibilities
Drive and oversee large-scale technical projects, fostering the evolution of core systems into highly performant, reliable, and customisable platforms.
- Album our projects with technical depth to ensure scalability and business alignment.
- Engineer cutting-edge monitoring and alerting systems to uphold the integrity and efficiency of Vanta’s security data pipeline.
- Collaborate closely with security researchers to accelerate the deployment of new scanning methodologies and threat detection modules.
- Build meaningful partnerships with a talented, collaborative team addressing real-world security concerns and improving customer trust.
- Assume leadership in complex, cross-team projects—guiding stakeholders and engineers to deliver measurable business impact.
- Define critical technical strategies enabling Vanta to stay ahead of rapid growth while maintaining excellence.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping Vanta’s engineering culture during a period of expansion.

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- 7+ years of fullstack engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
- Technical leadership experience—leading teams or influencing end-to-end technical projects.
- Knack for collaboration—balancing individual contributions against team and organisational goals.
- Hands-on experience in user-facing SaaS product development, ideally across startups and enterprise environments.
- Proven success in 0→1 product development and scaling solutions for large-scale challenges.
- Willingness to deep-dive into security etrics, or prior security-related experience would be an asset.
Technical Bonus Skills
- Expertise in TypeScript and Go.
