As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform Functional Consultant, you will bridge the gap between IT capability and business expectations on Microsoft Dynamics projects.
Responsibilities
Solution Design and Delivery
-
Collaborate with clients to design and build solutions based on Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, including AI features, to deliver benefits to businesses and their customers.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Dynamics 365 solutions.

Identify opportunities to leverage ever-expanding platform features.

Balance the benefits and risks of customisation and recommend the best approach to support client needs.

Participate in:
- Discovery workshops (creating functional designs)
- Solution configuration
- Testing support
- Data migration assistance
- Training delivery
- Implementation support
Project Leadership
- Lead one or more functional consultants within small to moderate (and in some cases complex) projects.
- In smaller roles, act as the sole functional consultant.
- For larger projects, collaborate with senior colleagues for guidance.
- Identify project priorities, assign tasks, and optimise resources and skill utilisation to ensure success.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Essential)

Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform Products
- Indepth knowledge of at least two of these:
- Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Field Service
- Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Power BI
- Indepth knowledge of at least two of these:

AI Features within Dynamics 365 CE & Power Platform
- Understand AI features’ availability and potential benefits for business and customer workflows.

Related Technology Proficiency
- Knowledge of related Microsoft tools like Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, plus integration skills with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.

Full-Cycle Implementation Experience
- Worked on multi-phase medium-to-large/complex projects, covering:
- Needs analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, data migration, cutover, and reporting.

Solution Design Influence
- Create and advocate for configuration-first designs, minimising unnecessary customisation to reduce risk, long-term costs, and maintenance overheads.

Demonstrating Out-of-the-Box Functionality
- Effectively showcase Dynamics CE/Power Platform capabilities to stakeholders, illustrating how products support core business processes.

Workflow Design & Automation
- Design and build workflows (both classic and Power Automate) to streamline medium-complexity tasks.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Work effectively with all levels of stakeholders, gathering and articulating requirements via methods like interviews, shadowing, workshops, business process mapping.
