Purpose of the Role
Weir’s global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme is shaping the next decade of business platforms. As a Senior Senior Functional Lead for Service, you will leverage deep Field Service expertise across SAP FSM, Salesforce, and supporting service management tools in complex industrial environments. Collaborating with the Product Domain Lead, you will drive the scoping and delivery of critical Service Management capabilities, including:
- Service Delivery Planning
- Resource Management
- Service Execution Management
This role ensures a cross-domain, end-to-end perspective, enforcing alignment with Enterprise Architecture. When required, you will step into full domain leadership, accelerating Weir’s Service Management maturity across people, processes, and technology—critical to the success of this strategic transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Partnership:
- Drive Service Management transformation, partnering closely with and deputising for the Product Domain Lead.
- Apply SAP Fit-to-Standard and Clean Core principles to optimise Service capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-domain to ensure value-driven delivery.

End-to-End Capability & Value Stream Ownership:
- Own the Service Management capability and its Enterprise Value Streams (e.g., Request-to-Service).
- Ensure seamless integration with other Domain Architects while maintaining alignment.

Architecture, Solution Design & Governance:
- Lead design, implementation, and optimisation of Service solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable architectures and govern risk, decisions, and roadmaps.
- Maintain adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards.

Cross-Domain Collaboration, Data, Integration & Innovation:
- Work across architecture teams to ensure coherence and unified data governance.
- Advance service technology innovations, including cloud-based solutions.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Service Process Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Field Service Management (FSM) and Service Delivery processes, including demand forecasting, knowledge management, and execution.
- Familiarity with industry Best Practices.

Technical Proficiency:
- SAP FSM, Salesforce, and cloud-based ERP systems.
- Tight grasp of service operations, workflows, integrations, and mobile field tools.

Business Process Management (BPM):
- Experience with BPM tools like Celonis or Signavio.

Agile Delivery & Portfolio Management:
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum frameworks, Jira, and Atlassian suite.
- Experience collaborating across technical and domain teams.

Leadership & Strategy:
- Strategic mindset with exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to lead change initiatives, influence stakeholders, and operate adaptably.

Architectural Experience in SAP S/4HANA:
- Demonstrated success as a Domain Architect in large-scale SAP transformations, delivering value-driven enterprise solutions.
