Purpose of the role
This is a pivotal senior fundraising role within the Foundation, responsible for shaping and delivering a step change in our fundraising and supporter engagement approach.
The Senior Fundraising and Engagement Manager will lead the development of our ambitious and sustainable income generation strategy, with a particular focus on Individual Giving, Major Donors, and Trusts & Foundations. Many of these income streams are in their infancy, so success in this role requires both delivery against stretching growth targets and the shaping of strategic fundraising capability required for long term success.
We are seeking an outstanding relationship builder, someone who can inspire, influence, and connect people to our cause, converting engagement into long term meaningful support for the Foundation.
This is a unique opportunity to play a defining role in the future of the Foundation. With key income streams to develop, the successful candidate will shape how we engage supporters and generate income, building relationships that underpin our long-term success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
