Senior Buyer – Furniture Table for One? No Thanks. We’re Setting the Whole Table. Let’s pull up a chair and be completely transparent. You’ve probably seen those generic adverts floating around for hybrid buying roles. Sure, you could spend three days a week talking to a screen in your slippers, or... you could take the hot seat at MFI.co.uk We are a fast-growing startup with bold ambitions to scale quickly way beyond £100m. With the disruptive, entrepreneurial energy of a challenger brand, backed by the heavyweight muscle of the Victorian Plumbing Group, we don’t just follow market trends – we set the WHOLE table. We’re not looking for a checklist ticker. We’re looking for a commercially fearless Senior Furniture Buyer to take full ownership of our end-to-end category management. If you know your upholstery from your flat -pack, have the Far East supply chain on speed dial, and want to make a massive impact on a brand-new HQ floor, we need to talk! What You’ll Be Doing (The Sofa-isticated Stuff) Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, you’ll be the driving force behind scaling our core furniture offering. We’ve invested in a brand new, stylish HQ in Leyland, and we’ve packed it with so many perks you won't want to work from home. Ditch the suit and tie (we love a casual dress code), skip the morning stress with free on-site parking, and step into a workspace that actually feels like the future of retail. Here is what’s waiting for you on-site every single day: The On-Site Bistro: Serving up heavily discounted hot and cold food, ice creams, cakes, and genuine Costa Coffee to fuel your morning. Plus, our legendary Theme Days! 🍔☕ Our Own On-Site Gym: Burn off the bistro lunches without leaving the building. 🏋️ The Social Scene: Complimentary tea and coffee to keep you buzzing, and regular Company Events to celebrate our massive wins together. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
