Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Game Artist to help define, create, and implement visual content for our mobile Minecraft Blast game.

This role is ideal for an experienced artist with strong concept art foundations who has successfully moved into 3D production and understands how game art lives inside the engine. You will help shape ideas visually, create production-ready assets, and make sure they are implemented correctly in Unity.

The right candidate combines strong artistic taste, stylized visual design, solid 3D skills, and practical engine knowledge. You should be comfortable moving from sketch and concept exploration into modeled, textured, optimized, and integrated game assets, while also helping raise the quality bar for the wider art team.

Your Role within the Kingdom

  • Create high-quality visual concepts for characters, props, environments, features, events, and gameplay elements.
  • Translate concept art and art direction into polished 3D game assets.
  • Produce stylized, production-ready assets that match the project’s cute, quirky, and polished visual tone.
  • Work across the full asset pipeline, from idea exploration to engine implementation.
  • Model, texture, optimize, and prepare assets for Unity.
  • Implement and review assets in-engine to ensure they meet visual and technical requirements.
  • Support visual development for new gameplay features, live events, and content updates.
  • Maintain consistency across art style, scale, readability, materials, and lighting.
  • Collaborate with Art Direction to refine visual direction and solve creative challenges.
  • Provide clear visual feedback and support to other artists when needed.
  • Help improve asset workflows, documentation, and implementation standards.

Collaboration and Integration

  • Work closely with Art Direction to maintain the project’s visual quality and style.
  • Collaborate with Game Designers to create visuals that support gameplay clarity and player understanding.
  • Work with Technical Artists and Unity developers to ensure assets are correctly implemented and optimized.
  • Coordinate with UI, VFX, animation, and environment artists when features require cross-discipline support.
  • Communicate clearly with production and flag visual or technical risks early.
  • Support the team by sharing best practices for asset creation, optimization, and Unity implementation.
  • Respond well to feedback and iterate quickly while maintaining quality.

Skills To Create Thrills

  • Strong portfolio showing excellent concept art, visual design, and 3D game art
  • Strong drawing, shape language, color, composition, and design skills.
  • Solid 3D production skills, including modeling, texturing, materials, and optimization.
  • Strong experience implementing art assets in Unity.
  • Good understanding of real-time game art constraints and mobile performance requirements.
  • Ability to take an asset from concept through final in-engine integration.
  • Strong understanding of stylized art pipelines.
  • Good knowledge of scale, readability, lighting, materials, and asset consistency in-engine.
  • Experience working with established art direction and maintaining visual consistency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot asset issues in Unity and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, or support other artists through feedback and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Good sense of polish, quality control, and production readiness.

  • Knowledge of Minecraft, its visual language, and player expectations.
  • Experience working on casual, mobile, or family-friendly games.
  • Familiarity with Minecraft visual language and stylization.
  • Experience with Blender.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent concept art tools.
  • Experience with Substance Painter, ZBrush, or equivalent 3D art tools.
  • Knowledge of basic shaders, materials, lighting, and prefab workflows in Unity.
  • Comfort supporting live game features, events, or seasonal content.
  • Experience working with both internal teams and external art partners.
