Position Overview
As a Senior Game Designer, you will:
- Oversee new features and bold-scale projects, acting as a thought leader in gameplay design.
- Lead the development of core game mechanics, levels, and features while ensuring system coherence, balance, and player engagement.
- Advocate for the player experience, translating insights into actionable design choices.
- Work in a hybrid environment (2 days/week in our London office, 3 days remote).
Responsibilities
Game Design & Innovation
- Ideate and design new levels, gameplay systems, and mechanics with minimal supervision.
- Research and analyze competitors, extracting actionable insights to guide design decisions.
- Prototype and pitch compelling game concepts that align with business goals and player needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with developers, artists, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate design into the game.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible, visually cohesive, and high-value for both business and players.

Player Experience & Balancing
- Lead the research, testing, and iteration process to refine mechanics for engagement and balance.
- Represent player needs internally, ensuring the team’s design aligns with real-world feedback and KPIs.
Documentation & Communication
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documents for documentation and internal knowledge-sharing.
- Design pitches and vision presentations to align leadership and teams with strategic goals.
Strategic Gameplay Impact
- Continuous naviguation to understand and anticipate future scope scopes to maximise player impacts.
- Troubleshooting complex design challenges and suggesting optimizations that keep the game exciting and engaging.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Game Designer (senior-level).
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) across teams.
- Ability to interpret player needs and translate them into strategic, high-quality design.
- Critical thinker with a passion for mechanics, systems, and player satisfaction.
