About Kinetic Games

We’re an independent games studio best known for creating Phasmophobia, enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. Our team is passionate, creative, and collaborative and we’re looking for someone equally enthusiastic about games to join our growing team.

We’re a small but fast-growing, friendly team that values creativity, openness, and personal growth. You’ll be joining a small but ambitious team where your ideas are valued, your growth is supported, and your development truly matters.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Gameplay Animator to join our team. As a Senior Gameplay Animator, you will play a key role in creating high-quality first-person and third-person gameplay animations that feel immersive, responsive, and impactful. You will work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to bring gameplay systems, interactions, characters, and horror moments to life through animation.

You will be responsible for creating polished in-game animations, improving animation quality and workflows, and helping define the animation direction and standards for gameplay features across the project.

This role is hybrid based at our office in Southampton. At this time, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
