Senior Garment Technologist
London | Hybrid
Up to £60,000 + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established UK womenswear retailer in a newly evolved Senior Garment Technologist role.
This is a broad technical position that combines garment technology, product compliance and sustainability, offering the opportunity to influence product quality, regulatory compliance and technical standards across the business.
Working closely with Product, Sourcing and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards while helping shape compliance processes and supporting wider sustainability initiatives.
The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Driving chemical compliance across product categories.
- Developing and improving product compliance policies and processes.
- Supporting ESG initiatives and sustainability reporting across the business.
- Translating emerging UK and EU legislation into practical business actions.
- Leading compliance data collection, validation and reporting.
- Supporting certification programmes and external compliance initiatives.
- Monitoring changes in product legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Acting as the key contact for industry compliance programmes.
- Working cross-functionally with Product, Sourcing, Operations and other business functions to embed best practice.

About You
We're interested in hearing from experienced Garment Technologists, Technical Managers, Fabric Technologists, Product Compliance or Technical Development professionals who enjoy combining technical expertise with continuous improvement.

You'll ideally have:
- A strong technical background within womenswear, fashion or apparel.
- Experience of garment technology, product quality or technical development.
- Knowledge of chemical compliance and UK/EU product legislation.
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Experience of ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, packaging compliance or Prop 65 would be advantageous.
