An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical and geoenvironmental services, the company works across a broad range of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take on greater responsibility, manage a diverse portfolio of projects, and play a key role in the continued growth of the geoenvironmental team.
The Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant Role Will Involve
- Managing contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion.
- Designing, supervising, and managing Phase I and Phase II ground investigations.
- Producing and reviewing factual, interpretative, and geoenvironmental reports.
- Completing contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies.
- Liaising with clients, regulators, contractors, and the wider design team.
- Managing project budgets, programmes, and commercial performance.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior staff.
- Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Successful Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant Will Have
- A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive UK consultancy experience within geoenvironmental engineering or contaminated land.
- A strong understanding of current contaminated land guidance and legislation.
- Experience managing ground investigations and delivering technical reports.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and project management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
