Location: Manchester
Salary: GBP40,000 : GBP55,000 + Benefits
An established environmental and engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join its growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of brownfield redevelopment, infrastructure, and industrial projects while taking on greater responsibility in project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and client management.
You'll be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary team with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities to progress into more senior technical and project management positions.
The Role
As a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion.
- Designing, supervising, and interpreting ground investigations.
- Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Interpretative Reports, and Remediation Strategies.
- Completing generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments.
- Liaising with regulators, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Managing project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Mentoring and supporting junior consultants.
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline.
- Several years UK consultancy experience in geoenvironmental or contaminated land.
- Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
- Experience managing projects and clients.
- Knowledge of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation.
- Full UK driving licence.
