About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Senior Geospatial Manager to join our leadership team in Crawley. This role offers the opportunity to lead people, strengthen client relationships, and drive operational excellence across our geospatial service offering.
As a senior leader within the business, you will support the strategic direction of the department while ensuring high-quality project delivery, strong team performance, and consistent client satisfaction. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee operational performance, contribute to business growth, and support the continued development of Vision Survey's geospatial capabilities.
This role would suit an established Survey Manager looking to take the next step in their career or a senior surveying professional with significant leadership experience seeking greater responsibility and influence within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across the geospatial division, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
- Allocate resources effectively and support managers and team leaders with project planning and coordination
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and industry best practice
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with project oversight, performance monitoring and risk management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met
- Support business growth through client engagement, lead generation and development of new opportunities
- Prepare and review quotations for geospatial projects
- Coordinate responses to tenders, frameworks, PQQs and ITTs alongside the Commercial Team
- Manage client change requests and commercial discussions as required
- Represent Vision Survey at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities
- Lead, mentor and develop surveying teams, supporting technical development and career progression
- Manage performance reviews, one-to-one meetings, training plans and holiday approvals
- Promote a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Monitor project performance, utilisation and profitability against agreed targets
- Support forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting activities
- Contribute to recruitment planning and resource forecasting
- Champion innovation, digital workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support quality audits, compliance reviews and operational improvements

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 10+ years' experience within the geospatial industry
- Previous experience in a Survey Manager, Operations Manager or senior leadership role
- Extensive experience managing survey teams and geospatial operations
- Strong technical knowledge across surveying equipment, software, quality assurance processes and site coordination
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of project performance, utilisation and profitability
- Experience with forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to travel regionally for client meetings and operational requirements
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
