Lead complex surveying projects that shape the UK's infrastructure
Are you an experienced Senior Geospatial Surveyor looking to take the lead on technically challenging projects while mentoring others and influencing the delivery of high-quality geospatial solutions?
At Tetra Tech, you'll join a respected national Geospatial team delivering surveying expertise across major infrastructure, water, defence, nuclear and environmental projects throughout the UK. Combining the latest surveying technology with technical excellence, we provide the accurate data and insight that underpin critical engineering and asset management decisions.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams while supporting the development of junior colleagues. You'll enjoy a varied workload, genuine responsibility and the flexibility to balance site work, office collaboration and hybrid working.
Your Role
As a Senior Geospatial Surveyor, you'll lead the delivery of geospatial surveying projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality and client satisfaction throughout every stage of a project.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading geospatial surveying projects from planning through to successful delivery.
- Managing and undertaking topographical, setting out, laser scanning, levelling and measured building surveys.
- Processing, analysing and interpreting complex survey data to produce accurate, high-quality deliverables.
- Producing CAD drawings and survey outputs using industry-leading software.
- Acting as a technical lead on projects, providing guidance and support to junior surveyors.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to add value.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across a broad range of engineering and environmental projects.
- Ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality standards.

What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Geospatial Surveyor with strong technical capability, leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality surveying solutions.
Essential
- Significant experience delivering geospatial surveying projects within a consultancy or engineering environment.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Leica Infinity and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Total Station and GNSS equipment.
- Proven experience delivering topographical surveys and managing survey data.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects independently.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
Desirable
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud processing.
- Experience undertaking precise levelling and measured building surveys.
- Digital terrain modelling and design experience.
- Relevant technical qualification or professional membership.
