Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer – Exeter
Location: Exeter
Salary: GBP 50,000 – GBP 60,000
Are you an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well:established consultancy?
A growing engineering consultancy in Exeter is seeking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to support their diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, residential and industrial projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to:

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of projects
- Undertake foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks design
- Interpret ground investigation data and produce geotechnical design reports
- Carry out geotechnical calculations and perform numerical analysis
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Manage projects from initial design through to completion
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
- Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout project delivery
- Support business development and contribute to winning new work

Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
- Significant consultancy experience in geotechnical design
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and current UK design standards
- Experience designing foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks
- Proficient with geotechnical design software
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Chartered status (or working towards Chartership) is desirable
- Full UK driving licence
