Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer

Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer – Exeter

Location: Exeter

Salary: GBP 50,000 – GBP 60,000

Are you an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well:established consultancy?

A growing engineering consultancy in Exeter is seeking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to support their diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, residential and industrial projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to:

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of projects
  • Undertake foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks design
  • Interpret ground investigation data and produce geotechnical design reports
  • Carry out geotechnical calculations and perform numerical analysis
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Manage projects from initial design through to completion
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout project delivery
  • Support business development and contribute to winning new work

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
  • Significant consultancy experience in geotechnical design
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and current UK design standards
  • Experience designing foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks
  • Proficient with geotechnical design software
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Chartered status (or working towards Chartership) is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
