A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield.
This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of projects, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector. You will be involved in delivering geotechnical solutions for wind farms, solar developments, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transmission infrastructure, and other major civil engineering projects across the UK.
The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will lead geotechnical projects from initial ground investigation through to detailed design, managing project delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer Will Have
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline.
- Several years' experience in geotechnical engineering within a UK consultancy.
- Strong geotechnical design experience, including foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and slope stability.
- Experience producing geotechnical design reports and interpretative ground investigation reports.
- A good understanding of Eurocode 7 and current UK design standards.
- Experience managing projects, budgets, and client relationships.
- Chartered status, or working towards Chartership.
- A full UK driving licence.
