Candles & Oud is an established luxury fragrance brand specializing in premium Oud-based products. Candles & Oud focuses on creating distinctive, atmospheric fragrance experiences that reflect a passion for olfactory artistry. The brand continues to evolve, expanding its presence and product range in the global luxury fragrance market.

Role Description

The Senior Graphics / Packaging Designer will lead the visual development of brand and product packaging for Candles & Oud’s luxury fragrance lines. This contract role is hybrid, based in London, with some flexibility to work from home.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Creating packaging concepts
  • Refining brand identity assets
  • Designing artwork for boxes, labels, and collateral that align with luxury positioning and regulatory requirements

The designer will collaborate with product development, marketing, and suppliers to:

  • Prepare print-ready files
  • Oversee prototyping
  • Ensure consistent execution across all product categories

The role also involves:

  • Maintaining design guidelines
  • Supporting digital and print marketing materials as needed
  • Contributing creative input to new launches and seasonal collections

Qualifications

  • Strong graphic design skills with experience in packaging design for luxury, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and preparation of print-ready artwork.
  • Knowledge of materials, printing techniques, dielines, and production processes for premium packaging.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity across multiple product lines and formats.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and external suppliers or printers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, layout, typography, and color usage, with a strong sense of luxury aesthetics.
  • Solid understanding of branding principles and consumer experience in the fragrance, cosmetics, or fashion sectors (or similar premium categories).
  • Relevant design qualification or degree (e.g., Graphic Design, Visual Communication) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving brand and market needs in a hybrid work environment.
