Following an internal promotion, Stratford Oaks Golf Club is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Greenkeeper to join our dedicated greenkeeping team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced greenkeeper with sound technical knowledge, a positive attitude and a passion for producing exceptional playing surfaces.
Working as part of an established management structure alongside the Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining and continually improving our golf course, while supporting the wider greenkeeping team in delivering consistently high standards throughout the year.

The Role
Reporting to the Course Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out and supporting the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course and wider estate to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Delivering all aspects of golf course maintenance to a consistently high standard
- Supporting the Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager in the daily operation of the department
- Assisting the Course Manager in the absence of the Deputy regarding organisation of daily work schedules and helping to guide other members of the team where appropriate
- Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of golf course machinery
- Assisting with irrigation management, course set-up and improvement projects
- Contributing to the implementation of agronomic programmes and course development initiatives
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with club policies and industry best practice
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing outstanding golf course conditions and enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.
The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have
- Several years' experience working within a golf course maintenance environment
- Strong practical knowledge of modern greenkeeping and turf management practices
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- A positive work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent)
- PA1, PA2 and PA6 certificates (desirable)
- Valid chainsaw operating licence (desirable)
- A full UK driving licence
