The Team
You’ll join Gatwick Operations, reporting to the Director of Gatwick. Based at one of our most busy and high-profile hubs, you’ll work with internal teams, airport partners, and ground handlers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
The Role As the Senior Ground Operations & Contracts Manager – Gatwick, you’ll drive our Gatwick base’s daily operational success, blending real-time leadership with strategic oversight.

Core Responsibilities
- Act as the senior easyJet representative at Gatwick, overseeing operational stability and delivery.
- Lead cross-team coordination with Gatwick Airport, ground handlers, and the Integrated Control Centre to execute the flying programme seamlessly.
- Direct A-CDM (Airport Collaborative Decision-Making) performance, optimising timelines, flight plans, and target achievement.
- Co-develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure consistent standards.
- Identify operational risks and lead mitigation strategies to protect both performance and customer experience.
- Communicate priorities clearly in operational briefings, representing easyJet’s needs.
- Lead disruption response, making time-sensitive operational decisions under pressure.
- Drive continuous improvement via insight-driven analysis, structured feedback, and inclusive problem-solving.
Key Requirements You’ll bring:
- Proven airline/airport operations experience with in-depth regulatory and operational knowledge.
- Swift reasoning to assess complex scenarios and prioritise efficiently in dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving experience, ideally in structured or lean methodologies.
- Clear communication skills, able to bridge technical gaps for various audiences (e.g., leadership, ground crews).
- A collaborative leadership style that fosters trust and high performance.
- A proactive, resilient mindset, prioritising customer outcomes and excellence.
- Ability to secure an airside ID pass (pre-employment reference checks required).
