Senior Group Financial Accountant – London
Salary: £65,000–£75,000 Location: London (hybrid working)
A leading global technology company is hiring a Senior Group Financial Accountant in London to support global financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory accounting across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts for UK and foreign entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Aid in tax return production for both UK and international entities by:
- Gathering financial data
- Preparing supporting documentation
- Liaising with external advisors
- Assist with international payroll processes and benefits reporting, ensuring timely submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate on international sales tax reporting, compiling information from various sources and maintaining up-to-date records for audit purposes.
- Ensure the prompt submission of statistical returns (e.g., ONS submissions) to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Support month-end close activities for non-trading entities by:
- Reconciling accounts
- Preparing necessary journal entries
- Contribute to global R&D tax claims by:
- Collecting supporting evidence
- Liaising with internal stakeholders
- Participate in group audits by:
- Preparing schedules and documents
- Addressing auditor queries
- Sourcing and providing all necessary information
- Engage in ad hoc projects that emerge as the organisation evolves to meet changing business needs.
- Foster collaboration across finance functions to:
- Improve accounting processes and practices
- Promote a positive and harmonious team environment

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified or part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) accountant.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience (ideally in practice) or within a fast-paced finance function for a global organisation.
- Prior exposure to statutory accounting, tax compliance, audit support, payroll processing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Direct experience required working with US entities, with a strong understanding of US tax requirements (a must).
- Experience with consolidation accounting is advantageous (not essential).
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and UK tax legislation.

- Proficient in accounting systems such as Sage (or similar), CRM tools, and advanced Excel functions.
