Location: London (hybrid working) Contract: 2 months Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days in the office

Role Purpose

Within the Group Head Office finance function, the Group Financial Reporting team has responsibility for the end to end production and delivery of Prudential's external reporting to shareholders and internal reporting to senior Group Head Office management. This role is to support the end-to-end BU IFRS submission and review process and Group consolidation and preparation of the Group's external financial statements for UK and US filings.

What You'll Do

  • Review and validate business unit submissions each reporting cycle, identify data or reporting issues, drive remediation with business units and escalate where necessary.
  • Prepare and review the Group's IFRS disclosures, delivering clear analysis and insight to senior management to support financial statement preparation and Q&A at key milestones.
  • Advise the Director of Financial Reporting on group consolidation, reporting and OneStream matters, providing technical expertise and value add support to ensure accurate delivery of the Group's consolidated results.
  • Analyse OneStream data to verify completeness and accuracy of inputs to the Group consolidation.
  • Support the Director of Financial Reporting with end to end financial statement production and governance, own the statement timeline and document management in Workiva to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues.

What You Bring

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with 5+ years' PQE experience
  • Group consolidation experience (essential)
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services sector
  • Strong background in group financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS - IFRS 17/ IFRS 9 would be desirable
  • Experience managing and resolving reporting and reporting system issues
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with OneStream and Workiva would be advantageous
