That Rosie Glow, North Berwick, is a multi-award-winning salon which offers all hair, beauty, and aesthetics treatments. We pride ourselves in going above and beyond clients' expectations for service and experience!
We are growing rapidly and are now taking on a talented hair stylist on a permanent part-time basis. Must be fully qualified but will consider newly qualified if you have in-salon experience and examples of your work. We have an in-house Senior stylist and fantastic brand training who will work with you to further your knowledge and skills to become an incredible hair stylist!
Must be confident in cutting, colour (all colour trends including balayage), styling, and would be an additional bonus if you can do hair ups and gents hair, however training can be given.
We are a busy salon so the ideal candidate must be able to get stuck in, learn fast, and have great work ethics. We are a very positive environment and believe in creating a great atmosphere for both employees and clients.

Role Description
The Senior Hair Stylist is a full-time, on-site role based in North Berwick. This role involves providing advanced hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments, while maintaining high standards of client care and professional presentation. The Senior Stylist will consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend suitable styles and treatments, and ensure an excellent client experience from arrival to departure.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Managing a personal appointment schedule
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the salon
- Supporting junior team members with guidance and mentoring
- Promoting salon services and products
The role also includes:
- Staying current with trends and techniques
- Participating in training as needed
- Contributing ideas to improve services and client satisfaction

Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in precision cutting, coloring, styling, and hair treatments, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent client consultations, actively listen to client needs, and provide clear professional recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, respectful approach to clients and colleagues.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior stylists, including sharing techniques and best practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge of hair care products, trends, and techniques, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, including managing booking schedules and maintaining a tidy, hygienic workspace.
- Recognized hairdressing qualification (e.g., NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and relevant salon experience in a senior or lead stylist role.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform salon services safely, following health and safety guidelines.
- Comfort working in an inclusive, family-oriented environment and maintaining a professional, non-discriminatory approach to all clients.
