About the Role
Anson McCade is a 26-year established executive search and consultancy firm, headquartered in the UK with an international footprint. Our Capital Markets Technology practice partners with some of the most sophisticated hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, market makers, and investment banks globally.
This role sits within our high-performance Quant & Trading Technology vertical - focused on elite technologists who directly impact trading performance and P&L.
We specialize in placing:
- Quant Developers (C++, Python, low-latency specialists)
- Trading Systems Engineers
- Platform & Infrastructure Engineers supporting systematic trading
- Execution, electronic trading, and market connectivity specialists
- High-performance computing and distributed systems engineers
These are engineers building the infrastructure, platforms, and systems that power trading strategies at the world's most sophisticated firms. Average deal sizes range from £50k-£100k+.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced technology recruiter who wants to operate in a high-barrier, high-reward market.
You will:
- Network and build relationships with elite quant and trading technologists globally
- Map complex competitor landscapes across hedge funds, prop shops, and market makers
- Manage mandates end-to-end, from market mapping through to placement
- Leverage existing Tier 1 client relationships with live, high-value mandates
- Identify and develop further opportunities within established client accounts
- Operate internationally, covering major financial hubs
This is not a volume desk. It is a strategic, relationship-led headhunting role within a niche where credibility and intelligence matter.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' experience in technology recruitment (ideally within financial services, trading tech, or a specialist vertical)
- A proven billing track record and/or client development success
- Commercial acumen and resilience
- Confidence engaging senior engineers, quants, and technology leaders
- Motivation to build deep expertise in quant finance and trading infrastructure
