Senior Health and Safety Manager
London
£100,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a leading principal contractor to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Manager. The company is delivering a broad range of construction and civil engineering projects, including large-scale commercial developments and major infrastructure schemes.
The organisation is looking for a forward-thinking individual who can bring fresh ideas to its health and safety team and help to build on its award-winning safety programme. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing health and safety teams, whilst engaging and influencing senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Leading the health and safety team to ensure the successful delivery of the health and safety strategy across multiple projects
- Influencing, engaging and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
- Identifying opportunities to improve health and safety performance and sharing best practice across the organisation
- Monitoring performance, providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company standards

Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within construction, civil engineering or a related industry
- A strong track record of influencing, engaging and coaching senior leaders and operational teams
- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive positive cultural change
