Senior Health and Safety Manager

Competitive salary + package (DOE)

Join a busy main contractor, leading site teams in best practice on site Health and Safety!

My client is a well-established main building contractor who are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for ensuring all HSE procedures are adhered to on site. You will provide authoritative advice and guidance to other managers to ensure best practice is promoted, to help ensure a safe working environment. My client delivers a good range of projects in commercial, residential, and largely hotels at the moment.

They deliver both new builds and also complex heritage refurbishment projects. Projects can range from £10 million up to around £60 million.

You will be conducting site inspections and internal audits, building strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders while assuring that Health & Safety processes remain effective. Leading external ISO audits and coordinating the timely close-out of audit findings and observations.

Your will have CDM experience with the ability to take Rams and risk assessment on active sites.

The role will require travelling to sites, where required, which will be largely the north west although some projects are in North London. You will be coordinating tool box talks, risk assessments, and Rams for live sites.

To be considered you should hold:

  • CSCS Professional Competence Card
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or be actively working towards Chartered status
