Are you a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) with an interest in respiratory care?
Why not join us in an exciting new opportunity as we launch our Primary Care Respiratory Hubs?
This innovative Cluster project will provide Respiratory Diagnostic testing across Anglese/Arfon and Dwyfor, improving access to high-quality care and supporting earlier diagnosis and management for patients closer to home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a developing service focused on improving patient outcomes and delivering care within the community.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated HCSW to join our Primary Care Respiratory Hub Team. This nurse-led service offers the opportunity to develop specialist respiratory skills, work autonomously, and contribute to high-quality care within a supportive primary care environment.
The successful applicant will ideally:
- Have experience in spirometry and FeNO testing within Primary Care or General Practice.
However, applications are also welcomed from candidates who:
- Have relevant transferable skills.
- Are willing to undertake the necessary training to develop within the role.
As a HCSW within the Respiratory Hub, you will play a key role in delivering timely access to high-quality, standardised, safe, and evidence-based respiratory diagnostic testing, including spirometry and FeNO, for patients presenting with respiratory symptoms without a confirmed diagnosis (e.g. asthma or COPD) across the Mon/Arfon/Dwyfor clusters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
