Are you an experienced health, safety and security professional looking for an opportunity to lead and influence safety strategy across a large and complex healthcare organisation?

We are seeking an exceptional leader to take responsibility for the development, implementation and delivery of the Trust's Fire, Health and Safety, Security and Contractor Management arrangements. This is a pivotal role that will ensure the Trust continues to provide a safe, secure and compliant environment for patients, staff, visitors and contractors.

As the Trust's subject matter expert, you will provide strategic leadership, professional advice and operational assurance across all sites, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, NHS guidance and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Trust's Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Security and Contractor Management functions.
  • Develop and implement strategic policies, procedures and assurance frameworks to maintain compliance and best practice.
  • Provide expert advice to the Board, Executive Team and senior managers on safety, security and compliance matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including NHS standards and CQC expectations.
  • Maintain effective systems for risk management, monitoring, auditing and reporting across the Trust.
  • Lead investigations into significant incidents and support organisational learning and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to promote a positive culture of safety and security.
  • Support the Trust in delivering its responsibilities for safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and wider risk management arrangements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
