Senior Support Worker – Badby Park, Daventry

About the Role
At Badby Park, you’ll be part of an inclusive, supportive team dedicated to delivering person-centred care for people with:
- Mental health conditions
- Neurological illnesses
- Acquired brain and spinal cord injuries

What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Support Worker, your key responsibilities include:
- Organising and overseeing shifts to ensure smooth operations and a positive service
- Supporting the wellbeing of all service users through direct care
- Managing challenging behaviours with professionalism and patience
- Medication administration and health-related support
- Overseeing support staff, including providing supervision and team collaboration
- Organising activities that enhance resident independence, dignity, and quality of life
- Completing daily reports, budgets, and audits for financial and compliance purposes
- Ensuring robust Health & Safety checks are executed
- Communicating effectively with families, professionals, and external agencies
This role requires resilience and vigilance due to the challenging nature of the environment. However, it’s depthlessly rewarding to see residents achieve small, incremental improvements thanks to your dedication.

Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you will have:
Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Support Worker or extensive care experience specifically in Mental Health
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and supervise support staff
- A high degree of empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence
- Ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours with precision and positive intent
Core Qualities:
- Willingness to support residents with daily personal hygiene
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust
- Adaptability and problem-solving in fast-chaced environments
- Professional resilience and a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
- Strong ** organisational skills** with attention to detail
- Reliability, honesty, and continuous improvement mindset
Requirements
- Residency: Must live in the UK and possess the Right to Work as a full-time employee
- Visa Restrictions: 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas are not acceptable
