To provide care and support to patients attending our Gynaecology Outpatients Department.
You will work under the indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will work within the boundaries of their existing role and developing skills at all times.
- Expected to maintain high standards of care, managing their time, tasks and resources effectively.
- This role requires you to support the Urogynaecology Specialist Nurses in their Nurse Led clinics including, Urodynamics, Trial without catheter, and Self Catheterisation teaching.
- This role also includes supporting the consultants with sterile-procedure clinics; including: oncology, post-menopausal bleeding, suspected cancer diagnostic clinics, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and supporting in Early Pregnancy Unit if required.
- You will act as a role model to deliver a high standard of care to promote the delivery of a patient focused service as appropriately delegated by the Nursing team.
- Record interventions, treatments and any changes in the woman's health status including adverse reactions, taking appropriate action to escalate for assistance as required.
- Be able to identify any potential risks within the environment and take appropriate action.
- Ensure own knowledge of Trust policies and procedures is current and work within the required frameworks.
